Shriners’ Elephant Ears: OSD Favorite treat awaits

(The Hoot News photo provided)

While the hours of 2024 Old Settlers Days are passing quickly by, you still have time to visit the Whitley County Shrine Club’s booth for an all time festival favorite — an elephant ear!

The popular stop along the midway, shown in the photo above, is the place to go for the best elephant ears around. The enthusiastic team of Shriners and volunteers will be serving up the sugary pastry treats Friday evening from 4 p.m. to close and again on Saturday from the end of the parade until the close of the festival.

New this year — the Whitley County Shriners are accepting cash and credit cards.
