Officials said a short while ago that it may be 4 or 5 hours until South Whitley residents get their power back on.

“South Whitley, IN Power will take about 4-5 hours to be back on. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience. The East Room at Town Hall will be open tonight for residents who need warm shelter,” officials said in a post at 4 p.m. today, January 9. At this time, it is unclear what has caused the power outage, but crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
