Live Nativity planned for Friday, Saturday in Columbia City

A long-time tradition in Whitley County, the annual Whitley County Community Christmas Celebration will be held this Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Whitley County Courthouse in downtown Columbia City.

The highlight of the annual event is the live nativity on the south side of the Whitley County Courthouse lawn. The experience begins on the southeast corner of the square, with opportunities to view it on foot and in a vehicle.

Additionally this year, there will be live musical performances from the Whitley Community Children’s Choir and the Lawrence E. Wolfe Community Handbell Choir inside the courthouse, along with cookies and hot cocoa.

Attendance is free.

This annual event is made possible entirely by the effort of a hard-working local committee. To get involved in the Whitley County Community Christmas Celebration committee, contact Servofidem1@gmail.com
