At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, the Columbia Township Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire on US CR 400 West. Engine 301 arrived to a fully engulfed vehicle and quickly extinguished it. No injuries were reported and units were back in service by 8:15 p.m. Additional crews assisting with the fire included Richland/Etna Troy Fire Department with a tanker, and deputies with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.
