Enjoy moonlit hikes in Indiana’s State Parks this weekend

This Saturday, October 28, 2023, several of Indiana’s State Parks will be hosting full moon hikes to enjoy the Full Hunter’s Moon.

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately with good hiking shoes and warm clothing. Red flashlights are recommended for these night hikes.

Where to Hike:

Charlestown State Park – Meet at the Clark Shelter at 8pm ET for this easy, 1.5-mile hike on trail 2. Great For first time night hikers. bit.ly/CharlestownFullMoonOct23

Turkey Run State Park – Meet at the Nature Center at 7pm ET for a hike along Trails 1 and 4. Night hiking makes this typical Moderate trek Rugged/Very Rugged. bit.ly/TurkeyRunFullMoonOct23

Brown County State Park – Meet at Lake Ogle at 7pm ET for a hike on Trail 7 (1.2 miles). Trail is rated moderate, but should be considered rugged in the dark.
