Mayor Ryan Daniel awards Keys to the City

From reports

Columbia City Councilman Walt Crowder and Columbia City Board of Works representative Nicole Penrod, a former city councilwoman from the Southeast District, observed their last formal public meetings on December 28, 2023.

Crowder was lauded as the longest serving councilman in city history, having served five terms on the Columbia City Council and at least 20 years on the Board of Works.

Penrod served three terms on Columbia City Council and one term on the Board of works.

“I was honored to bestow a Key to the City to both of these public servants,” said Columbia City Mayor Ryan Daniel.

“These two individuals have dedicated much to our community and they mean the world to me. Thanks to Walt and Nicole for your dedication to our City and all you’ve done to help build a future together,” Daniel added.
