(The Hoot photo provided) A ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center to celebrate the official opening of the Columbia City Parks Department’s new office at 400 North Whitley Street in Columbia City. The proximity of the new office is ideal with Eagle Park and the Russel & Evelyn Fahl Aquatics Center nearby. At center is Matt Heiden, Columbia City Parks Superintendent. The office was the former home of the Community Foundation.
