Large crowds are expected to turn out this afternoon and early evening for trick or treating in the business district of downtown Columbia City. The Whitley County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center has once again coordinated it’s annual Lil’ Pumpkins on the Square & Downtown, with trick or treating opportunities in abundance around the Whitley County Courthouse Square and in abundance at businesses in the area. Trick or treating will continue, rain or shine, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. this afternoon and early evening. Participants should come in costume and bring a bag, basket or something to carry their treats.
