(The Hoot News photo provided) Cody Abbott, above, is the new director of the South Whitley Community Public Library and he is jumping right in to serving the community.

Abbott is a new member of the One Community board of directors.

He and his wife, Abby, live in Huntington.

“I have appreciated the warm welcome I have received from the community and look forward to being able to serve in it yet another way,” Abbott said of joining the board.
