As of 3 a.m., Whitley County remains under a yellow travel advisory status due to freezing rain overnight. The status went into effect at 10 p.m. last night.
The lowest level of local travel advisory, “yellow” means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
The status is determined by Whitley County commissioners Chad Banks, Rob Schuman and Theresa Baysinger and reported to the state.
