On Thursday evening, the OSD Red Coats recognized the Oldest Settler, the Longest Continuous Settler and the Youngest Settler during a ceremony on the courthouse lawn.

At age 98, Matthew Henney was recognized as the Longest Continuous Settler.

Oliver Whetstone, at age 5, was recognized as the Youngest Settler. He is the first to receive this recognition.
Garble, Henney and Whetstone will receive a certificate and their names will be added to continuous plaques housed at the Whitley County Historical Museum.
