Columbia City is about to get a delicious new addition to its vibrant downtown scene!
Cibo Ristorante (pronounced chee-bo), a locally owned Italian eatery, will soon be opening its doors, offering authentic, rustic dishes crafted from scratch. This highly anticipated restaurant promises to bring the flavors of Italy straight to the heart of the community.
The restaurant is expected to open in the former location of The Nook, on West Van Buren Street in downtown Columbia City, and will feature an open concept dining experience.
Cibo Ristorante is the brainchild of a Whitley County native & chef with over 30 years of experience, who has honed his skills learning from nationally renowned Italian chefs. The menu will feature a wide array of delectable dishes, with inspiration from different regions of Italy. From mouthwatering appetizers, fresh salads, and flavorful soups to hearty sandwiches, pastas, and classic Italian entrees, there’s something to tantalize every palate. Don’t forget to save room for their irresistible desserts.
Whether you’re stopping by for a leisurely lunch or a cozy dinner, Cibo will offer an inviting atmosphere with a menu that blends the best of old and new world Italy. The restaurant will also cater to those on the go, offering boxed lunches and carry-out options for easy local pick-up.
As preparations are underway to get the space ready, the team at Cibo asks the community for a little patience.
“Please bear with us as we prepare our building for success in our journey to open up,” representatives said in a recent announcement. “We promise it will definitely be worth the wait!”
“We are excited to see this new restaurant open soon,” said Columbia City Mayor Ryan Daniel. “Thanks for choosing Downtown Columbia City!”
