Early Thursday morning, firefighters from Churubusco and Smith Township provided mutual aid assistance to Union Township Fire Department for a structure fire near Coesse. Crews were dispatched just before 1 a.m. and returned to station at 3:30 a.m. In all, 13 firefighters responded.
