With Christmas quickly approaching, the Columbia City Police Department is gearing up for their annual Patrolling 4 Presents event.
This event is a way for the police department to give back to the children of our community and is not possible without the help of the community members and businesses. They are currently reaching out to residents and local businesses that would be willing to donate to this community outreach program.
This is the 12th year of this event, and CCPD would like to thank those who’ve supported the project with donations in past years. Every penny raised is spent on this event or the gifts provided to the children, they said.
If you would like to assist in providing a Christmas dream to our youth, please drop off or mail donations to the Columbia City Clerk’s Office located at 112 S. Chauncey St. Columbia City, IN 46725. Cash is accepted or you can make checks payable to the City of Columbia City and place “Patrolling 4 Presents” in the memo line.
If you would like to send your donation with an officer, we will provide you with a written receipt and turn your donation in for your convenience.
Please have your donations turned in by November 24, 2024.
