Columbia City Police Chief Gary Parrett recently announced the selection of Officer Chris Anderson to fill the vacant position of Deputy Police Chief.
Anderson brings more than 14 years of experience in law enforcement to the role. He joined the Columbia City Police Department in the Spring of 2023 as a patrolman.
“I am excited to have Deputy Chief Anderson as my right hand man and look forward to watching his leadership blossom within our department,” said Parrett. “In the time he has been with the Columbia City Police Department, Chris has built many positive relationships within both the Department and the Community.”
Anderson has been associated with the Columbia City community for more than 10 years. In 2019, he chose to relocate his family to the area.
“I have a strong passion for this city and am excited to see great things happen in the community where my family live and work,” Anderson said.
