A little over a year ago, owners Ben and Niki Anderson were recognized by the State of Indiana and Governor Eric Holcomb with a Half Century Business Award. Now, they’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Columbia City location.
Ben’s grandfather, James Forrest “Andy” Anderson started the business in Bluffton in 1971. He opened another location in Decatur and eventually bought an existing car wash in Columbia City and renamed it Andy’s. Almost 8 years ago, the ownership turned over to Ben and Niki. Ben oversees all the operations of the car wash while Niki manages customer relations, community outreach and marketing.
Andy’s offers three self-service bays as well as an automatic car wash and free vacuums. It also offers an express interior service daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with no appointment necessary. Andy’s is very active in the community, frequently supporting other small businesses and local fundraisers as well as offering military discounts every day and senior discounts on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Andy’s Car Wash is located on Frontage Road in Columbia City, just north of US 30.
