Community organizers have a big goal in mind — raising approximately $20,000 in funds for improved playground equipment at Faith Christian Academy.
The first step: raising $5000 for a new swing set at the school for students to enjoy when school starts again in late August.
“We are thrilled to share that we are making significant strides in raising funds and applying for grants for the Faith Christian Academy playground,” stated Stacie Fillman.
“The main playset, a substantial investment of approximately $20,000, will take some time to fully fund,” she added. “To date, we have raised $1,820. We need about $3,000 more to cover the costs of the swing sets and rubber mulch.”
Faith Christian Academy is Whitley County’s only non-profit, interdenominational Christian school serving the educational needs and faith-based spiritual needs of children in preschool through Grade 8.
