Columbia Township firefighters battled a garage fire Monday on Raber Road.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday, Columbia City Fire Department and Columbia Township Fire Department were dispatched to the 1200 blk of south Raber Road for a reported structure fire. Engine 101 arrived and found a fully engulfed detached garage.

An aggressive attack was made by Engine 101’s crew and the fire was kept out of the house.

No injuries were reported and the fire remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Columbia City Police Department, Parkview Medic 91, the Indiana State Fire Marshal Investigator, Columbia City Electric and the Whitley County Building Inspector. South Whitley Fire Department provided standby coverage.
