In an especially swift special session lasting less than three minutes last night, the Whitko School Board unanimously accepted the resignation of Superintendent Tim Pivarnik, effective immediately.
The board endorsed Kari Walmer, Director of Special Services, as the interim lead administrator until a new superintendent is appointed, with hopes of filling the role within the next week.
No specific reason was provided for his resignation. Following a brief discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
The superintendent’s contract, approved in 2021, was set to expire on June 30, 2024.
