The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced two projects for the southern part of Whitley County beginning April 1.

The first project is a bridge repair on SR 205 by Affordable Storage in South Whitley. This project is expected to begin April 1 and the road closure is expected to continue until July 19, 2024. Detour route is SR5 south to SR14 east to SR9 north to Radio Road west.

The second bridge repair project is along SR 105 between 900 South and 800 South at Hurricane Creek (2 miles south of the South Whitley area). The bridge will be closed starting April 1 and remain closed until July 9, 2024. The detour route for this project is SR 114 east to SR 5 north to River Road west.
