The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network is pleased to award a 2024 Local Food Scholarship to Brandon Gump, the owner and salami artist of Rowdy Rooster Artisan Meats in Churubusco.

Gump will use his Local Food Scholarship to attend the Meat Industry Food Safety Conference in Indianapolis in September 2024.

“Attending the food safety conference in the meat production industry presents a valuable opportunity for our business to enhance our knowledge and practices in ensuring the highest standards of food safety,” said Gump.

Rowdy Rooster Artisan Meats is a charcuterie producer located in Churubusco. They purchase local livestock directly from area farms to hand craft salamis and other charcuterie products.
