The Columbia City Police Department’s 11th annual Patrolling 4 Presents fundraising is off to a great start. Donations received thus far include: Big G’s Sports Café – $500, Old Settlers Days – $500, Amanda Adamson State Far – $250, Bowen Center – $200, Yagel Grain Systems, LLC – $200 and Vintage Blessed General Store – $100.
Each year, the department collects funds to plan and host a Christmas party for children in the community.
This year’s Patrolling 4 Presents event will be held at Paige’s Crossing-Fun Center, located at 2821 E. Business 30, in Columbia City on December 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. The party will provide children with free admission to the facility, inflatable bounce houses, a bag of free tokens for arcade games, pizza and a gift bag filled with various gift cards, coupons and other fun items. This program is available to all children (K-12 grade) living within the city limits of Columbia City, though the department says their primary focus is on elementary and middle schoolers.
If you are interested in signing up for our Patrolling 4 Presents program this year, please call Officer Thomas at (260) 229-1595 and provide your phone number, child/children’s name(s), and age(s), along with the name of the guardian or chaperone that will be attending with them. Please call and RSVP by December 8, 2023.
If you would like to assist in supporting this annual event, please drop off or mail donations to the Columbia City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall at 112 S. Chauncey St. Columbia City, IN 46725.
Cash is accepted or you can make checks payable to ‘Patrolling 4 Presents.’
You may also give a donation directly to an officer. They will provide you with a written receipt and deliver your donation to City Hall.
