Conference will be held July 10-12 in central Indiana
Teachers are some of our state’s best creative problem solvers and innovators. Great educators take risks, learn, reflect, and collaborate. Those same attributes are the building blocks of creativity. The Summer Institute for Creative Teaching, which began in 2023, will return in 2024 with an expanded set of sessions, offering Indiana educators the chance to gain skills and knowledge on incorporating creativity into the classroom.
Research shows creative teaching strategies, also known as arts integration, improve student engagement, student learning retention, and student literacy skills. Integrating the arts into core subjects is a highly effective and rewarding approach to meeting standards while reaching diverse learners, engaging students, and making a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
Participation in the workshop will include:
- Immersive experiences in creativity and connections to standards
- Exploration and enhancement of curriculum through arts integration
- Hands-on collaboration with other Indiana educators
- PGP points for attendees
