This morning, at approximately 10:45 a.m., the Columbia Township Fire Department was dispatched to assist Thorncreek Township Fire Department and Parkview Whitley EMS on a reported vehicle crash at the intersection of SR 9 and CR 500 North. Units arrived to find a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Engine Company 301 assisted with patient care, traffic control and vehicle fluid mitigation. All vehicle occupants were transported to a local hospital. State Road 9 was down to one lane for approximately 40 minutes while crews worked the scene.

Also assisting were B&D and All Pro Towing. The crash is under investigation by Whitley County Sheriff’s Deputies.
